SAFFRON'S FOOD SEMINAR!!! BE THERE...OR BE SQUARE!!!!

The Saffron food seminar has been long over due but Thank God it will be possible now! 

Set to take place on the 6th of July 2013, it will be a fun filled day of cooking! Old cooking tricks, tips and even our very own Saffron secret recipes would be revealed only for the beautiful price of N4000!

The Seminar will basically showcase Meals that can be done in minutes, Appetizers/Canapes, Drinks,Smoothies and Mocktails, Salads and easy Breakfast meals.

Cake Seminar!!! Come and Gone.....

The Cake seminar we have been posting on Facebook and plastering on Twitter, BBM and Watsup! Actually on social network or instant messenger outlet we were there...Lol! 

Like all great things, Has come and gone! 

We are so grateful to God for making it a success! 5 cakes and 4 frosting in 5hrs plus students trying their hand on the baking and icing of the cake. That was just sheer joy to me! 

The ladies seem very happy and i have a feeling will continue to bake for a long time plus i also gave them homework to be delivered in a week's time( Ladies do your assignments O!) so i pray their cakes will turn out great. 

 What i did basically, was to teach them how to know the measurements(using a measuring cup and spoon), how to work the oven and how to read and understand any recipe! I told the ladies, once they can read & understand a recipe with whatever measurement given, is like you have unlock the gate to a secret world! A beautiful world of fluffy whipped cream, coffee chiffon cakes, buttercream frosting swirls on a vanilla cupcakes, red velvet and cheese frosting, chocolate ganache on moist chocolate cake ........it's just a fun yummy world to be in!
I also taught them the different types of cakes and frosting. Basic cake recipes and their variations....... starting from Pound Cakes to Chiffon cakes.

 Arrival time was 11 am, Seminar started by 12 pm. Took a break and had a delicious lunch and delightful (Mocktails not Cocktails Lol)drinks. Came back by 2.30pm  and finished the class by 6 pm.

We are all in high spirits and very happy! Can't wait to have another seminar soon! xxx

Hoof and Poof ....and blow the tent down!

        Out of state Jobs are as much fun as they are hectic! The fact your going out of town is exciting but then a new place, new environment, even drinking a different kind of water that you're not use to can be well.... quiet frightening sometimes but for the love of weddings you sock it up! And WORK!

         So last weekend we were invited  to Bauchi State by a wonderful family for the Kamu decore (traditional decorations). It was a good account! My team and i had finished up our work by noon when a unfortunate incidence happened. The wind blew everything down,broke what it could break and knocked off all the tents.

 (a very strong,holing,swirly,scary breeze that came and brought our work back to square1)

    It was almost life threatening but God in His infinite mercy prevented anything horrible from happening. The event was at 3.30pm and the wind came at 2.45pm, OMG! The way we ran like we were on fire to fix up the mess......i can't even describe. Lol! i am laughing now but on the faithful day, it was not funny at all.  We change the position of the bridal tent and fixed up the venue,were all done by 3.45pm (which was amazing). Divine intervention i say!

 So WALLA.....here is the 2nd version of the Kamu decorations!

It was not windy the whole day, then all of a sudden...although i didn't post the picture of the 1st one, i think the 2nd is better!

Make up and Beauty seminar!

We had a beauty and makeup seminar on the 3rd of march. I was so happy that the girls were so into it!
